🌭 Hotdog Hallway — Privacy Policy
Hotdog Hallway is a cute, family-friendly physics arcade game for iPhone. We built it to be fun and to leave you alone — it has no accounts, no logins, and no personal profiles, and it collects as close to nothing as a game can. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what the app does and does not collect.
What we collect
- Leaderboard initials. If you choose to post a score, the app sends the 3-letter initials you type and your score to our worldwide leaderboard. That's the only information that leaves your device. These initials are not tied to your name, your Apple ID, an account, or any other personal identity — the app has none.
- On-device game data. Your progress, settings, and best scores are stored on your device by the app and stay there. We don't collect them.
What we do NOT collect
No accounts. No passwords. No names, emails, or contact lists. No location. No device advertising identifier. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we never sell or rent any data to anyone.
How we use what we collect
The initials and score you post are used for one thing: showing the worldwide leaderboard inside the game so every player can see the top runs. That's it.
Advertising & tracking
Hotdog Hallway shows no ads. There are no third-party ad networks and no advertising SDKs in the app, and it does no ad tracking whatsoever.
In-app purchases
Hotdog Hallway offers optional in-app purchases (dog packs). On iPhone these are handled entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase — the app never collects, sees, or stores your payment card details. Apple processes the payment under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Third parties
- Apple processes any in-app purchases you make, as described above.
- Our hosting provider (Netlify) serves the leaderboard and keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) needed to run and secure the service.
We use no other third parties, and no advertising or analytics-tracking services.
Children's privacy
Hotdog Hallway is a general-audience, family-friendly game and is safe for kids. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children — posting a score uses anonymous 3-letter initials only, and there is nothing else to collect. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Data retention & removal
Leaderboard initials and scores are kept so the leaderboard can be shown. Because they aren't tied to any identity, they can't be looked up by person — but if you know the initials and roughly when the score was posted, email us and we'll remove that entry.
Changes
If our practices change, this page changes first, with a new effective date.
